Does anybody remember the history that marijuana criminal defense attorney Tom Dean gave us for the reason that the "25 mile limit"was included in Prop 203. Prop 203 was the initiative that became Arizona's Medical Marijuana Act. I think that MPP or the Marijuana Policy Project wrote Prop 203. The "25 mile limit" is the section that says medical marijuana patients can only grow marijuana if they are 25 miles or more from the nearest medical marijuana dispensary. The story I remember Tom Dean told us was that when they had the initiative reviewed by the Arizona Legislative Council that they stuck the "25 mile limit"in the review. And that it after that it was accidentally placed in the official version of Prop 203? |
