The city of Tempe in what seems to be an attempt to run the homeless people out of town has been removing benches that are in front of the Tempe Public Library, where people wait for the Library to open. There were 3 benches in the downstairs area that were removed. Two of the benches were next to the sliding electric doors. The other bench was in the stairwell. There were 4 benches in an upstairs area that were removed. Two of the benches were in front of the windows on the south side of the building. The other two benches were on the north wall of the same area. The city of Tempe also put locks on the electric outlets in the areas to prevent homeless people from charging their cell phones.
