FBI, Phoenix Police violate Kevin Walsh's 5th Amendment rights

Sounds like the old line of BS from the police and FBI of

"I got a gun and a badge and that means you don't have any stinking Constitutional rights"

In Miranda v Arizona it says that when a person takes the 5th the police or in this case the FBI shall immediately cease questioning the person.

What part of Miranda v Arizona don't these police criminals and FBI criminals understand.

While me and Kevin disagree on a number of issues Kevin has every right to expect the police to honor his Constitutional Rights.

Kevin is a Communist, I'm a Libertarian.

Kevin is a racist, I'm not.

This is an email Kevin posted on a listserver today.

And the conduct of this FBI agent and Phoenix Police agen are one of the reasons people routinely say:

"F*ck the Police"

I had some unusual trick-or-treaters this Halloween and they arrived unusually early for that activity. Last night I got home from work and there was a strange note on my door from my neighbor Chris. She wrote that two "gentlemen" had come looking for my mother and for me and wanted to know how to contact us. She left her number. I telephoned her this morning and gave her my telephone number and my mother's. I asked who these "gentlemen" were and what they wanted. She said she didn't know.

At noon the doorbell rang. I opened the door, and there were two men there dressed business casual. One asked if I was Kevin Walsh. I confirmed that I was. He identified himself and said he was with an FBI taskforce and asked, "I'd like to have a moment of your time."

My training from the Young Communist League kicked in at once, and I said, "No. Go away." I then shut the door.

According to the Fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution, as upheld by Miranda v. Arizona and other Supreme Court decisions, there is no legal obligation to talk to the FBI or other federal agents. It is, however, a felony to lie to them, so it is very dangerous to talk to them, as if you inadvertently tell them something that isn't true, they can use that to try to persuade a jury that you were lying to them. Silence is the best policy with these people.

I hadn't heard the last of them, however. At about 2:40 five FBI agents approached me at work. I reiterated that I didn't want to talk to them. One of them told me that if I didn't talk to them, they'd just keep coming to my work and my home until I did, and that it would only take 30 to 45 minutes of my time. I was quite surprised he would be so brazen as to threaten me with harassment right in front of my co-workers. I reiterated that I did not wish to talk to them. I then went about my work, and picked up a plate I wanted to Rockwell test. The head agent said, "Put that plate down."

I put it down and said, "I am at work. I am here to work." I then picked up the plate again.

Again he said, "Put that plate down."

I put it down again, turned away and went to the lavatory to urinate. My need was not urgent, but there seemed little else I could usefully do at the moment. When I returned they were still there, but Thomas Israel, the assistant manager, was also standing there. Tom asked me, "Kevin, are you available?"

I said, "I am not available. Tell them to leave. If they refuse to leave, telephone the Phoenix Police. Federal agents are not immune from laws against harassment."

The head agent said, "Actually I'm also an officer of the Phoenix Police." It must be nice to collect two paychecks for the same nonsense. In any case, they left at that point and didn't return for the rest of my shift.

I don't know what lies ahead, but I know I must double-down. There will likely be harassment of my mother and my boss. I will not give in to either. If I do, it will only send the message that the FBI can force people to give up their Fifth Amendment rights just by harassing them enough.

Why are they harassing me? They never told me, but I suspect it has something to do with the de-platforming of Gab because one of my fellow posters shot up a synagogue in Pittsburg Saturday morning. I did not know Mr. Bowers, nor do I remember having seen any of his posts, nor did I have any prior knowledge of the attack on the synagogue. I won't give the FBI the satisfaction of saying it on the record. Let the bastards do their own dirty work.
